Imprinted concrete renovation requires specialist knowledge and the correct materials to be done properly. Every project begins with a detailed assessment to determine the level of restoration required, from cosmetic enhancement through to full structural and colour restoration.

Where degradation is severe, repairs are carried out before any  sealing takes place. This can include crack repairs, colour correction, and the introduction of expansion lines to relieve stress caused by heat cycles — a step often missed during original installation and a common cause of cracking.

Cleaning methods vary depending on condition. Full restorations involve deep, aggressive cleaning to remove all unstable material and contaminants, ensuring only solid concrete remains before rebuilding the surface. In some cases, specialist decontamination cleaning is required to remove oil, fuel, or residue that can interfere with sealers.

Colour is then rebuilt using high-quality, resin-based imprinted concrete sealers. These are applied in controlled stages to achieve the desired finish, whether a natural layered appearance or a more uniform look. Resin-based sealers provide superior durability, colour retention, and water resistance compared to standard products.

During curing, access is strictly controlled to protect the finish. Once complete, optional maintenance plans are available to periodically top up sealant layers, helping preserve colour and protection long-term.
